Community Services Associate

Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- General understanding of NCA and CACGA standards and implementation of best practices
- Assists Community Resources Coordinator
- Coordinates and assists with active Volunteer program
- Coordinates and facilitates Stewards of Children training
- Coordinates and assists with the Adopt a Family Program
- Coordinates outreach for prevention training, center trainings and community presentations
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRES: Preferred Bachelor's Degree plus 1 year experience. Prior experience and education considered. The Associate must be highly organized and an effective communicator. He/she should be creative and understand the use of events and their importance to the success of a nonprofit organization.
The Associate should understand the complexity of the larger Center, be sensitive to the political environment, and be able to work smoothly with a diverse constituency. The Associate also assists with electronic communication including e-newsletters and websites. Maintains a database of donors. He/she should also understand fundraising principles and the importance of effective donor stewardship to the overall development effort. He/she must exhibit an exceptional attention to detail and be able to manage multiple projects (both events and volunteer/donor relations) simultaneously without missing deadlines. This requires strong computer and organizational skills and a creative and highly resourceful approach to the work.
The position requires working experience with Excel, Word, Constant Contact, fundraising databases, and Internet and social marketing tools. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse staff, board, volunteers, donors, and community is essential. The Associate will possess an in-depth knowledge of protocol and resources required to ensure appropriate engagement of VIPs. She/he will be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends, and flex time as needed.
