Position Summary

The LCSW Team Lead will work under the direction of the Executive Director providing supervision within the Good Seed Drop-In Center in Inglewood. The LCSW Team Lead will help to facilitate Good Seed’s mission working with homeless, transitional youth ages 18 to 25, by ensuring the Drop-In center is properly staffed and equipped to provide a safe, clean nonjudgmental environment and a place of hope. The LCSW will work collaboratively to design and implement programs that are geared toward providing housing, job readiness, and various other supportive services.

A successful candidate will be a LCSW with 3 years Management experience and prior experience working with homeless or troubled youth. Someone who is compassionate who can laugh at mistakes and views them as teachable moments.  This individual must also be comfortable working with a very diverse population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and deliver social services while maintaining the mission and vison of the organization
  • Lead and implement program development initiatives, in consultation with the Executive Director
  • Design and implement individual & group treatment/advocacy plans for Good Seed clients
  • Community outreach developing relationships with agencies to provide resources and assist in the coordination of social service activities
  • Identify training needs for clinical and direct-care staff
  • Participating in general department meetings, treatment team, and case supervision meetings
  • Manage and maintain the volunteer and MSW intern staff {schedules, assignments, state licensure requirements, etc.)
  • Ensure the cleanliness and order of the facility managing and tracking work orders, purchase orders.
  • Maintain positive working relationships while maintaining the integrity of the facility
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Licensed in the state of California as a Clinical Social Worker
  • Minimum of 3 years of Management experience
  • Master's degree in social work
  • Experience in providing supportive services and advocacy, prior experience with Youth homeless population a plus  
  • Current BLS/CPR (preferred).
  • Must have excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Must be flexible with scheduling
  • Able to lift 25 pounds
