The Carter Center is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, nongovernmental organization founded in 1982 in Atlanta, GA, by former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, in partnership with Emory University. SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer for Major Gifts (CDO), the Senior Associate Director, Major Gifts is charged with the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of potential donors to The Carter Center. The Senior Associate Director serves as a member of the Center’s Major Gifts team, comprised of annual, major, and planned gift officers, manages a portfolio, and contributes to the development of plans and strategies to achieve gift income goals in support of the Center’s Health and Peace Programs, and overall operations. The Senior Associate Director may supervise intern staff. As a member of the Major Gifts team, the Senior Associate Director will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors for all major gift efforts, campaigns, and planned giving.
