The Addiction Healing Center (AHC) at the Westminster Rescue Mission is seeking an individual to lead the organization’s ongoing expansion effort.  Serving the community with a long-term, faith-based, residential recovery program for 50 years, AHC was CARF-accredited and licensed by Maryland Behavioral Health Administration for the first time in 2018, fueling our expansion from serving men only to offering residential treatment for women and opening sober home capacity on our 30 acre campus beginning in 2020.  We are looking for someone to lead us into this next phase of our growth. AHC is a 501(c)(3), Christian non-profit with a proven track record, strong local and regional support, and key staff members in place to welcome the next Executive Director and carry our vision forward together.  

Overview 

The Executive Director is the key management leader of the Addiction Healing Center. This position is responsible for overseeing the administration, budget, programs and strategic plan of the organization, in collaboration with the Board of Directors.  Key leadership functions include financial performance and viability, organization mission and strategy, management of facilities and human resources, and development of ministries and programs. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors, and serves as primary ambassador for the organization in the broader community, among behavioral health providers and regulators, in building partnerships among non-profit, business and public sectors, as well as with churches.

Position Requirements

  • 5 years experience in senior management and staff supervision;
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience with financial management, analysis,systems development and implementation, and management/leadership training;
  • Experience in non-profit organizations, HIPAA and CARF or other behavioral health accredited environment is preferred.
