Job Description
As the Program Coordinator, you will support Hands On Atlanta’s education-focused programs. From recruiting our next cohort of AmeriCorps members to analyzing program data, you will play a meaningful role on Hands On Atlanta’s Programs Team. Logistics, relationship building, attention to detail, recruitment, data analytics are just a few of the many skills you’d bring to this role. This is cross-functional position, which will involve partnering with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Key areas of responsibility include:
-Coordinate AmeriCorps and volunteer leader recruitment by: conducting outreach to publicize opportunities (i.e. creating flyers, posting positions, outreach to colleges and universities, tabling, etc.)
-Screening and interviewing applicants, organizing networking rounds
-Managing applicant data base and communicating with applicants
-Onboard and train AmeriCorps members and volunteer leaders:
-Coordinate training sessions and team building activities; manage logistics for trainings
-Update and analyze training feedback surveys, suggest modifications to training based on results
-Collect and analyze Program data
-Support the refinement of Hands On Atlanta’s data collection processes
-Update, disseminate, and analyze program surveys
-Lead focus groups, analyze themes
-Input data into Salesforce and run reports; create summaries for diverse audiences
-Help with Program management and logistics
-Conduct site visits to check-on AmeriCorps members and program operations
-Track AmeriCorps members’ timesheets and other details related to federal grant compliance
-Serve as a Hands On Atlanta ambassador at community events
-Support Hands On Atlanta’s signature days of service and special events
Preferred Experience
You might describe yourself as a relationship builder and detail oriented. You have a knack for multi-tasking. You’re are more of a nonprofit generalist, than a specialist. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You might describe yourself as ambitious, a learner, a jack of all trades, a positive force, and interested in a career in nonprofit management.
You have/are:
• 2-3 years of professional experience, ideally at a nonprofit organization coordinating programs
• Service program alum, i.e. AmeriCorps, Teach for America, Peace Corps, etc. (preferred)
• The ability to manage logistics and balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience collecting and analyzing data; Salesforce experience is preferred
• High energy and passion for Hands On Atlanta’s mission
• Excellent communication skills (in person, over the phone, and in writing)
• Comfortable with public speaking
• The ability to work on a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail
• An eagerness to learn, contribute, and grow
• Reliable transportation and ability to navigate/travel in and around greater Atlanta
• Experience and comfort with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel)
