Position Summary: This position will have primary responsibility for providing trauma-informed, group and individual treatment services to youth in our school-based program. The Mental Health Clinician will deliver culturally responsive services and should have experience working with African American populations. Additionally, the clinician will partner with a Catholic Charities’ restorative practices specialist and school personnel to create and support a school-wide trauma-informed and restorative culture.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver client-centered, developmentally appropriate, and evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Facilitate restorative social-emotional and clinical groups
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, school personnel, parents, and community members from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Conduct home visits with students and their families as appropriate
  • Provide consultation to school staff, and caregivers on trauma and trauma-informed responses to student behavior
  • Adhere to timely and accurate clinical documentation and data collection requirements
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments and treatment plans

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • BBS REGISTRATION: Valid and current registration or licensure as an AMFT, ASW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW or LPCC
  • Experience with restorative practices preferred
  • Ability to drive to and from schools and meetings and possession of a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and access to a reliable a vehicle
  • TB test, Fingerprinting, and background check with clearance to work with children and youth
