Finance Coordinator
Supervision: National Director of Finance
Supervises: None
Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt, 20 hours per week
Salary: $18-22 hourly, based on experience
Location: Decatur, GA National Office
Travel: Limited
SUMMARY:
Our national not-for profit charitable organization is seeking to add a member to our Decatur, GA office to work closely with our Directors of Finance and Operations in the following areas. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, experience in business, accounting, and/or nonprofit back-end support, and is passionate about our mission of ending the cycle of youth homelessness. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Process expense-related transactions (receipts/disbursements) through QuickBooks
● Prepare weekly bank checking disbursements with necessary receipts
● Prepare and provide information to outside payroll service provider
● Process and report out on National and local program donations
● Field inquiries from local program leaders and outside donors
● Process email traffic and telephone calls coming into the National Office
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assist with merchandise ordering and fulfillment
● Maintain upkeep of various databases and applications
● Compile and distribute monthly Youth Service Data Reports (metrics)
● Draft internal/external communications as required
● File and retain documents digitally and/or in print
● Special projects and additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
● Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
● Excellent oral and written communication skills
● Works well with large group of constituents
● Working knowledge of accounting and financial statement preparation
● Understanding of QuickBooks and Excel
● Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Business or Accounting a plus
● Willingness to take on certain operational responsibilities that may extend beyond routine accounting requirements
● Demonstrated adherence to ethical and operational best practices
● Must be located in Atlanta area or willing to relocate near the Decatur office
