Digital Marketing Specialist 

Overview

The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the VP, Brand & Consumer Marketing and will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing cost effective email marketing campaigns and supporting digital marketing programs that drive donations and support the customer journey. This role will work closely with the Director of B2B Marketing, the Senior Director of Multi-Media Content, IT and Data team personnel. 

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a new role within the Marketing & Communications Department.  This role has been developed is to create and deliver email marketing programs and digital content that supports the expansion and growth of United Way of Greater Atlanta’s brand and the work across the organization’s 13-county region. This includes web content, search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), and account management.

This role supports the goals of:

  • Executing successful, engaging campaigns that drive traffic to the United Way of Greater Atlanta website and grow the organization’s open and clickthru rates, and email subscription base
  • As a result of the above, increase engagement with UWGA and contributions to advancing Child Well-Being in the Greater Atlanta region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement email marketing campaigns
  • Plan and draft email content for handoff to content team to edit and design team to provide layouts
  • Create and collect ideas for organizational and departmental emails
  • Identify and manage segment audiences to grow organization’s B2B and B2C email lists within Click Dimensions
  • Leverage email content for website use
  • Support VP, Brand & Consumer Marketing with Digital marketing/advertising campaigns
  • Extend reach of email and digital efforts through SEM
  • Manage daily email marketing channel operations - messaging calendar, design, execution of campaigns, KPI measurement, and A/B testing
  • Partner with design team to improve email templates using graphics, personalization and advanced features
  • Partner with Marketing Leaders, Content team, Social Media and Events team to establish, iterate, and improve messaging style
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Report on engagement generated from email marketing efforts
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices

Qualifications & Expectations

This role requires a blend of superior organizational/project management skills and expertise in digital marketing with an emphasis in email marketing

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years email marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in digital marketing or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as an Email Marketing Manager or Digital Marketing Specialist
  • Strong project management skills
  • Preferred experience in Click Dimensions and CRM platforms
  • Understanding of marketing automation technology
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
  • Hands-on experience with HTML/CSS/Java Script/Photo Editing
  • Familiarity with analytical and database tools
