Choice-filled Lives Network is seeking a seasoned and connected Executive Vice President, Development to join its founding team. This role is fully remote/flexible from a home office and will require frequent travel to the corporate office in Atlanta and/or partner meetings throughout the U.S. This role is contract-to-permanent, with an attractive commission structure. Only applicants with at least 10-15 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development will be considered.

About the Organization

Founded in 2018, Choice-filled Lives Network works to disrupt the systems, mindsets and inequitable distribution of access that perpetuate the opportunity gaps that are destroying the fabric of our country. All children, including those who have experienced generational inequity and lack of access, deserve a chance at having Choice-filled Lives, and we believe that educational leaders and educational and community organizations play a critical role in making this a reality. Therefore, we approach all of our work through the lens of capacity building and transfer, coordination of efforts and resources among organizations with aligned missions, research, and our own mission, vision and values, in any effort to pave Choice-filled paths for all children.


  • Collaborate with CEO/Founder to develop an annual fundraising and development plan
  • Secure start-up seed money for organizational operations through foundations and other sources
  • Forge relationships with foundations and social-change investors on behalf of Choice-filled Lives Network
  • Hire and supervise the Choice-filled Lives Network Development Team
  • Attend all Executive Leadership Team meetings

Qualifications & Experience

  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience fundraising and cultivating donors in the 7 figure range
  • Experience fundraising for start-up programs or initiatives 
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in nonprofit development in a senior level role with mission-aligned organizations
  • Minimum of Bachelors degree (graduate degree preferred)
  • Experience leading capital campaigns
  • Experience securing foundation grants and managing grant-focused teams
  • Ability to forge and sustain philanthropic relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate the Choice-filled Lives Mission, Vision & Values
  • Experience developing a multi-faceted Fundraising & Development Plan
