GCN Consultant - Strategy and Data Analysis

The Georgia Center Consulting Group is seeking consultant with a focus on data mapping, strategy and data analysis to work with a Senior Consultant to complete consulting projects.   This position reports to the EVP, Programs and will work closely with her on major consulting contracts to produce and analyze data, develop mapping tools and work with clients to understand shifting market trends, population and demographic trends and emerging needs in communities.

Job Description: The Consultant’s primary role is to support research, documentation and delivery of consulting projects and other engagements within the GCN Consulting Group.  Primary customers are nonprofit organizations within the state of Georgia that are currently engaging with GCN. Strong expertise in data collection, analysis, survey design, and data presentations to clients.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Research of data (including historical information, market analysis, trends and other necessary information) to guide the consulting projects within the department. 
  • Facilitates GCN clients through strategic planning, board development or other group meetings including the development of SWOT analysis, best practices or activities to meet the goals of the contract.    
  • Supports the delivery of consulting engagements for board development, fundraising and leadership development as needed. 
  • Supports the facilitation and delivery of other projects as needed and where appropriate.
  • Creation of tools to support the work delivered to clients such as data mapping.
  • Supports senior consultants to help prepare proposals, working documents and deliverables. 
  • Delivers GCN intellectual property through communications, engagements with clients, speaking engagements and trainings.  
  • Ability to learn and use data mapping and presentation software such as Tableau.  
  • Tracks utilization and engagement profitability from existing Excel spreadsheets, salesforce, project management software and other tools. Prepares reports as requested for review of the Group.
  • Provides project management services on select projects to ensure delivered on time and with a focus on customer service.
  • Delivers course instruction within Nonprofit University in subjects as appropriate or in subject areas as needed.

Job Specifications and Requirements include 

  • 3-5 minimum years of experience in nonprofits.
  • Strong analytical skills and application of technology.
  • Has some knowledge/capability around data analysis.
  • Proven ability to complete projects on time and within job specifications
  • Experience talking with customer as well as coordinating team efforts
  • Some experience with face-to-face selling scenarios
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required and master’s degree preferred.  
  • Experience within consulting, strategic planning, fundraising, and boards a plus.
  • Interested in career in consulting.

Compensation • Commensurate with skills and experience – Salary range from $45,000 to $52,000 • GCN will offer a compensation package including base salary, health, dental and PTO
