Job Details

We see a bright, beautiful future for Israel and the Jewish people. But we cannot succeed in bringing our vision to life without you. This is a unique opportunity to help lead a chapter that has significant growth potential in the Northern California region.

You will be charged with growing the local JNFuture community in the Bay Area, which features a dynamic group of passionate young professionals (ages 22-40) through new programming, strategic planning and local partnerships.

A typical day isn’t just in the office. It will include identifying prospective donors, meeting face-to-face and sharing the JNF story, program management, and leadership development to help the organization meet and exceed our goals. A flexible work schedule to meet the needs of your donors all over The Bay is supported as well. With over twenty chapters across the country and growing, you have the opportunity to be a part of a national movement of young Zionists who are changing Israel forever.

This is an opportunity to jump in and help grow the presence of JNF in the Bay Area from the ground up. You will become part of a strong community with your peers that work with their chapters across the country.

You will have the exposure to an international community that is supporting the growth and development of Israel. There is potential for international travel to Israel.

You will be expected to travel to trainings, conferences, and meetings around the country when needed.

This position will be based in the San Francisco JNF office with opportunity to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

•Prospect potential new donors using various direct methods (such as calling and face-to-face meetings), networking, and research.

•In partnership with the local board president, guide and assist the JNFuture Board and leadership throughout the Bay Area.

•Work alongside the events team to plan and execute all local JNFuture events and programs.

•Be a voice for the young professional community and work with the Northern California Campaign professionals to develop programming targeted towards that audience.

•Represent JNF at various events to bring new donors into the fold and identify partnership opportunities.

•Recruit JNFuture members for JNF tours and missions to Israel.

Necessities:

•A passion for Israel.

•Bachelor's degree.

•Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

•Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

•Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.

•A team-orientation and strong work ethic.

You:

•Understand our audience.

You have your fingers on the pulse of the young professional scene and are up-to-date on current trends and the latest news with an eye on what’s next.

•Are passionate about our work.

You understand the importance of Israel and want to help us continue to build and support the land and its people.

•Have a knack for making friends where ever you go.

Your interpersonal communication skills are off the charts. Networking is second nature to you and you are able to not only lead an engaging conversation, but are also able to lay the foundation and nurture relationships with various people.

•Are a team player.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, with people who are passionate about their work and mission. You’re excited to roll up your sleeves and work with people across departments to accomplish our goals. Your chapter will look to you for guidance.

•Dream big.

You aren’t afraid to think outside the box. You are always bringing new ideas to the table and are able to strategize a plan of how to make them reality.

Company

Join the most powerful and influential Jewish organization in the USA who is committed to strengthening the relationship of the Diaspora to the Land and People of Israel. Programs include making the Negev Desert bloom, building water reservoirs to alleviate Israel’s water shortage, bringing a smile to the face of a person with disabilities, transforming a barren wasteland by planting 250 million trees, keeping our youth strongly committed to Israel – these are but a few of the countless impacts JNF makes possible every day.

JNF has launched the $1 Billion Roadmap for the Next Decade, a ground-breaking and unprecedented plan that focuses on connecting the next generation to Israel, building communities in Israel’s Negev and Galilee, and developing infrastructure for ecology, working with people with special needs, heritage preservation, Israel educational engagement and Aliyah from North America. JNF is involved in education engagement for children from K-7, students in High School, college and then investing and growing our young adults affinity group, JNFuture, aged 25-40. JNF is always looking and working towards investing in the future, evidenced by our acquisition of the Alexander Muss High School in Israel that will ensure a transformative semester abroad experience for American Jewish youth in Israel.

JNF is an innovative, strategic organization that hires thinkers who want to be a part of growing their connection to the Land and People of Israel.
