Network Systems Administrator – San Francisco, CA

The Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC) is seeking a full-time Network Systems Administrator in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. This is an exempt position that reports to the Senior Manager of Technology.

The ILRC is a national nonprofit legal support center with offices located in San Francisco, California; the Central Valley of California; San Antonio, TX; Austin, TX;  and Washington D.C. Founded in 1979, the ILRC is regarded as one of the foremost experts on engaging immigrants and developing their leadership in the democratic process; providing expertise on complex issues of immigration law, procedure and policy; and engaging in advocacy and educational initiatives on policies that affect immigrants. We are a team-based organization that makes decisions in a collaborative fashion that allows for significant staff input.

The Network Systems Administrator position will provide essential support to the ILRC’s team. This new position will play a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of the ILRC and amplifying the impact of our work.

Job Responsibilities: The specific job responsibilities of the Network Systems Administrator include:

  • Manage physical and virtual servers 
  • Manage Cisco Meraki LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN
  • Administer RingCentral VoIP 
  • Manage cloud storage systems  
  • Manage backups and recovery 
  • Administer O365 
  • Maintain Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP 
  • Implement and manage patch management for Windows and Mac systems 
  • Maintain Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP 
  • Oversee power and data requirements in the data center and IDF closets 
  • Design, plan and implement infrastructure improvements 
  • Identify, evaluate and implement new technologies 
  • Establish and manage IT monitoring tools for servers and network equipment 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of DR and business continuity plans
  • Perform capacity planning, analysis, and optimization of server and storage systems 
  • Respond to and manage infrastructure emergencies as they arise 

 Qualifications: The qualifications for the Network Systems Administrator include:

  • 5+ years of experience managing Windows servers from Windows 2008 to current 
  • 5+ years of experience managing Cisco networking equipment, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and VoIP 
  • 5+ years of experience administering O365
  • Experience with Hyper V administration
  • Proven experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Radius
  • Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy (GPO)
  • Experience managing Veeam in backups, and recovery
  • Experience working with Azure ADFS
  • Experience monitoring solutions, such as Nagios, Zabbix or PRTG
  • Experience with Linux servers
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Experience with QuickBooks 2017 Desktop
  • Experience with SSO integrations, APIs and data connectors
  • Extensive experience with WSUS or SCCM patch management and updates
  • Strategic experience in long-term technical planning and communication
  • Self-starter with proven experience working independently as well as part of a team
  • Solid interpersonal skills that include good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff with different technical experiences and abilities
  • Willingness and ability to support the organization during non-business hours

Compensation/Benefits:
The annual pay range for the Network Systems Administrator position is $75-$90k, DOE. The ILRC offers excellent benefits, medical/dental/vision insurance, a flexible spending account for medical and dependent care, vacation, and sick leave. The ILRC also sponsors a retirement plan option upon fulfillment of eligibility.
