ABOUT ONE WARM COAT:

One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that provides free coats to people in need. Since One Warm Coat was founded in 1992, the organization has facilitated the collection and distribution of more than 6 million coats to children and adults across all 50 states.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Program Director will report directly to the President and CEO and will provide support and direction for the Coat Drive Program, Bulk Coat Donation Program, and the Crisis Coat Fund. The Program Director will also manage One Warm Coat’s relationship with over 1,000 nonprofit partners across the United States and ensure that One Warm Coat is compliant with laws and regulations across all 50 states in which it operates. Finally, the Program Director will coordinate the use of the CRM database and process all donations and gift acknowledgements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide excellent customer service to more than 3,500 Ambassadors who hold coat drives each year as part of the Coat Drive Program
  • Manage the Bulk Coat Donation Program, including soliciting and tracking donations of overstock and irregular coats and stewarding the relationships with the donors
  • Handle all details of the Crisis Coat Fund including ordering coats, organizing the warehousing and shipping, and tracking which agencies have the highest need for coats
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to build and maintain strong relationships with One Warm Coat’s non-profit partner agencies
  • Create a process to track One Warm Coat’s compliance and annual registration with more than 40 states
  • Coordinate the use of the CRM database and process all donations and gift acknowledgements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates for the Program Director position must have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in a non-profit organization
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, while meeting all deadlines
  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
