Our service area includes the city of Atlanta and the cities and neighborhoods of South Fulton.


Position SummaryThe Education Program Manager supports Atlanta Habitat’s mission by developing, managing and implementing the homeowner education program to ensure that homeowners have the information and tools needed to succeed with homeownership, to develop and maintain family support services, and to prepare homebuyers for an on-schedule closing process.


Key Responsibilities: 

The Education Program Manager is directly responsible for:

  • Developing objectives for all required and elective classes
  • Scheduling all classes attended by all Atlanta Habitat for Humanity program participants and their family members
  • Ensuring that all classes are taught by qualified, volunteer instructors
  • Developing components for VGA Launch! entrepreneurial growth program for Homeowners
  • Evaluating the success of education program objectives
  • Ensuring the relevance of the curriculum to program participants
  • Identifying and promoting relevant community resources to program participants
  • Attend classes as needed and monitor curriculum content

Qualified candidates must meet all of the following requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in developing adult training or education programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in financial literacy preferred.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and pay attention to details.
  • Able to interact well with diverse groups, make public presentations and manage multiple tasks.
  • Requires excellent computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft programs. Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Knowledge of issues related to home ownership, home maintenance and community advocacy preferred.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.

This position is classified full-time exempt. Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays, with some evening and weekend work required. Position has the ability to flex hours to accommodate these requirements.
