Executive Director needed for Hospitality House for Women, Inc in Rome, GA. This facility opened in 1978 and was the second shelter for the abused in Georgia. The Mission Statement is to protect, promote, and serve the interests of domestic violence victims. The purpose is to provide food, shelter, referral services, and supportive community to women and their children in crisis. Those who qualify for our services may become a guest in our 27 bed homelike facility licensed by the state of Georgia which is available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Our Outreach Service is for those not requiring shelter, but who need our other services to recover and achieve their goals just as the In House guests. The Executive Director is responsible for the management and administration of the shelter and related programs. This is achieved by working with the staff and 21 member Board of Directors to serve those who need us as well as to educate the community about domestic violence.
Candidates must possess a degree in social work or related field and have extensive work experience in service to others, management skills, and the ability to get along with all types of people. A masters degree is a plus as well as non profit experience, grant writing and related administration skills, ability to speak well to groups about our mission, representation in our statewide group, ability to pass a criminal background check and possession of a valid drivers license. This is a full time job with salary and benefits to be determined according to education and experience.
