TRC Staffing has partnered with a local non-profit organization focused on serving elders and veterans in the Fulton County community.

Your responsibilities would be an eclectic mix where the overarching theme is that you are willing to do whatever it takes to continue to grow the volunteer base supporting our client and their mission. In this role, the Community Engagement Manager connects individuals, foundations, corporations, civic groups and service organizations with volunteer opportunities within the organization. Working directly with both new and existing volunteer groups, this individual will coordinate the volunteer’s time and efforts.

The Manager works closely with the Chief Development Officer and the Senior Director of Meal Services to implement community engagement strategy including communication of content for programs, fundraising, public relations, internship program, workplace giving and government advocacy.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the management of volunteer services: recruiting and scheduling all volunteers
• Assists with the orientation of volunteer and ensures all volunteers are properly trained to guarantee knowledge and familiarity of tasks within the volunteer’s assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Maintains routine records for the department using Volunteer Hub.
• Plans and coordinates special activities for Volunteers as well as the internship program.
• Surveys teams to regularly assess for volunteer assistance; designs and implements community volunteer recruitment plan with help of CDO and Senior Director of Meal Services; promotes utilization and integration of volunteers with teams; evaluates all aspects of volunteer programs to ensure effectiveness, and recommends changes as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate documentation of volunteer assignments including documentation of hours served; reviews and evaluates volunteer documentation for quality and timeliness; reports volunteer activity at team meetings.
• Identifies community outreach opportunities such as job fairs, festivals and other community events, and assists with networking and presentations in the community; assists with and participates in volunteer recognition programs, special events and other projects as assigned; participates in large and small scale event planning; serves on committees as assigned.
• Actively recruits and retains corporate and civic groups through ongoing calls, emails and face-to-face meetings.
• Maintains accurate records and files, and provides timely statistical data and activity reports on volunteer participation; completes all appropriate documentation.
• Consistently demonstrate positive customer-service responsiveness according to MOWA standards.
• Support a wide range of initiatives including giving campaigns, direct mail, special events, corporation and foundation giving.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and three years related experience in Marketing, Community Development, Fundraising or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Availability to work a non-traditional schedule that includes holidays, evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with Volunteer Hub and Raisers Edge a plus
• A professional appearance and sensitivity to others
• Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to focus though interruptions
• Strong attention to detail, procedure and fact checking
• Research and analytical skills
• Information technology skills
