AmeriCorps VISTA Site Coordinator
- Experience Level
Next Generation Men & Women, a college and career readiness program serving Metro Atlanta, is seeking AmeriCorps VISTA Site Coordinators for the 2019-20 Program Year.
Next Gen closes the opportunity gap for high school students by creating a path to graduation and success after high school through exposure to college, career options and support. We believe that if every youth can see it and experience it, they can become it. We partner with under-resourced High Schools to create student cohorts, led by Teachers and mentored by College students, to connect student interests to the world, visit local colleges and companies, and execute a plan for success after high-school -- college and career.
The goal of the Next Generation Men & Women VISTA Project is to expand programming from three schools to six Title I High Schools across Metro Atlanta. Next Gen VISTA Site Coordinators will contribute to program expansion by:
- Building and maintaining relationships with administrators, teachers, parents, students, and community stakeholders
- Developing and leading student recruitment at each new school site
- Collecting and tracking student data and outcomes
- Developing and implementing operational logistics at each new school site
AmeriCorps VISTA Members receive a Living Allowance, Relocation Allowance, End of Service Award, Healthcare Benefits, Childcare Assistance, Non-Competitive Eligibility, Professional Development and Training.
