The ASP math and reading teacher will be responsible for assessing and instructing students in grades K-5. The teacher will teach grade level standards as well as lessons based on individual student needs. Teacher will meet with students individually and in small groups based on areas of need. Teacher will assist whole group with homework and socio-emotional learning. Teacher will also be responsible for maintaining classroom management using positive behavior supports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- All employees must submit criminal background check
- Experience in classroom setting or with elementary/middle aged students OR currently enrolled in a BA or MA education program
- Excellent organizational skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English would be a huge plus!
Hours:
- 2PM-5PM
- Monday- Thursday
- Up to an additional 2 hours of planning each week.
- Position runs from August-May with a few planning and training days in July.
Rate of Pay:
$12-$15 per hour (depending on experience and education)
