Job Details
Reports to: Director of Co-ops
Purpose
The Coordinator conducts co-ops within the metro Atlanta area. She/he supports all activities of each Co-op, including administration and operations, member training and education, and facilitation of communication with members of the management team and external members of the community. This position is also required to maintain the highest level of professionalism and personal conduct and contribute to a positive work environment. This position will also help support and manage the Wednesday lunch program as well as other duties as assigned.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Co-op Coordination
- Provide oversight and guidance in the operation of the co-op model for each group of co-op members (once trained)
- Order, verify and reconcile food selected for the Co-op project against invoice
- Ensure easy access to all required Project meeting documents and forms
- Ensure the set-up/cleaning/securing of the project meeting space before and after meetings
- Purchase additional items from the “floor” on pick up day
- Attend all assigned Co-op project meetings in person
- In collaboration with management and/or project Members, develop and support a Steering Committee of members in all of their duties
- Ensure efficient unloading and distribution of food
- Promote Member participation in the unloading, reconciliation and distribution of food
- Ensure proper storage of food items not distributed
- Process food donations and deliveries from non-ACFB agencies
- Maintain co-op member database
Volunteer Management
- Communicate inability to come in or be late in advance
- Monitor supplies and notify office administrator of needed supplies
- Clean refrigerators and freezers, both in kitchen and in back closet
- Prepare coffee for Wednesday meetings
- Set out foods during the early Wednesday meetings (with gloves)
- Work with groups that come in to serve meals
- Take out recycling
- Tidy furnace room in orderly fashion
- Miscellaneous other items that may be assigned by supervisor
- Clean the kitchen, fellowship hall (meeting space), and bathrooms after co-op meeting
- Kitchen: Sweep, mop (as needed), and take out trash
- Meeting Space: Sweep, mop, return tables, and take out trash
- Bathroom: Clean toilets, sweep, mop, and take out trash. Also, replace soap, toilet paper and paper towels as needed. Close windows.

Qualifications and desired characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Theology or another human services area
- Proficient basic math skills
- Customer Service experience; adherence to Customer Service Policy
- Group/collaborative decision-making experience
- Effective communication skills- verbal and written
- Proficient computer skills
- Problem solving skills
- Responsible, dependable and trustworthy
- Serve Safe Certification or willingness to complete certification training
- Willing to undergo a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree and/or work experience in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Theology or another human services area.

- Ability to get in and out of a box truck
