Manager of Public Programs

Children's Museum of Atlanta is the only educational venue of its kind in Atlanta, presenting educational programs and exhibits designed for young children ages 0-8. Children’s Museum of Atlanta vision and mission is to change the world by sparking every child’s imagination, sense of discovery and learning through the power of play.

Primary Role:

This position reports to the Director of Exhibits and Education and is responsible for managing, creating, and growing the in-house museum programming, supervising in house Educators and Imaginators and coordinating details around “human” aspects of the museum experience. This experience includes guest performers/presenters, special programs on the museum floor, the Arts Studio, Science Bar, Build It Lab and the “Imaginator Program” – the museum’s interpretive program. This position is responsible for evaluating effectiveness of the museum programming (exclusive of school, outreach and camp programs).The Manager of Public Programs coordinates outside volunteer programming advisory committees for specific program areas.
