Nursing Manager/Director of Health Services-RN Required

Annandale Village provides progressive life assistance to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries so that they can maximize their abilities and maintain their independence in the least restrictive environment. Annandale Village offers both residential and non-residential programs and services that provide a balance of structure, freedom, encouragement, instruction and fulfillment. In addition to an off-campus independent living program, semi-independent living apartments and cottages, Annandale Village’s residential services include assisted living and skilled nursing care. Annandale Village serves over 180 individuals and is the only nonprofit in the state of Georgia to offer men and women with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries a full continuum of service and care.

Annandale Village is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced nursing manager that is looking to take the next step in their nursing career as our Director of Health Services. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in a specialty area. The Health Services Department has a clinic like setting with 8 staff which includes a Health Services Coordinator, Health Services Techs, LPNs and an Appointment Scheduler. The ideal nursing manager in this role will oversee the overall operation of the Health Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, local regulations that govern Personal Care Homes, Assisted Living Centers and Independent Living Program to ensure the highest degree of quality care. This person will also ensure that Annandale policies and procedures are followed and maintained at all times, full authority and responsibility for operation of the Private Home Care Provider. The Director of Health Services will also work with directors of other departments to ensure the smooth integration of the delivery of supports and services to all of our clients.

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities of this role are but are not limited to:

• Provides leadership and oversight to all operations and performance activities related to Health Services at Annandale at Suwanee, Inc.
• Develops Standards of Care and Standards of Practice and monitors to ensure compliance.
• Participates in interviewing and screening residents for admission to the PCH or ALC; informs staff of new admissions and ensures Health Services are ready.
• Monitors resident’s treatment and medication plans to ensure residents are receiving proper care; reviews nursing documentation, MAR’s, etc. to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Responsible for managing healthcare aspects for all state licenses and contracts, including Healthcare Facility Regulation licenses and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental disabilities contract.

Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited 4-year college or university of nursing (preferred), and currently licensed as an RN in Georgia; Bachelor Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field; a minimum of five years demonstrated competence; knowledge of nursing theory and practice, policies, procedures and established standards of care and regulatory agencies; knowledge of personnel administration and managerial principals and functions Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements. Must meet state requirements regarding a Georgia, National, and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting. Must undergo and pass a drug screening, and screening for Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B. Must have current CPR/First Aid certification in accordance with state regulations within 60 days of hire. CPR Training will be provided, as needed.
