Two positions available: one part-time (24 hrs./week) and one full-time (40 hrs./week)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage families in parenting sessions in a positive, respectful manner
  • Perform family needs assessments, create case plans, and guide parents through the program
  • Implement evidence-based parenting curriculum and life skills to teach parenting skills
  • Enter data into electronic database
  • Maintain attendance records of parents education classes and thorough case notes
  • Maintain contact summaries of all interactions with parents, other professionals, and staff
  • Ensure high standard of ethics by providing for family confidentiality
  • Provide referrals to other agencies for their families as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to enhance services to families
  • Attend training relating to professional growth
  • Maintain knowledge of current parent education practices
  • Participate fully as a a team member in direct service and indirect service
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university and one year of related experience/training, or Associate's Degree (AA) and two to three years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer skills required: Database Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook);
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be familiar with the community and community support agencies
  • Must be willing to work in the homes of clients
  • Must have a valid driver's license and less than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Must use personal vehicle for home visitation
  • Knowledge of child development and effective parenting techniques; PAT or PPP training preferred.
  • Must exhibit a willingness to assist in the personal development o flow-income families
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the families and program
  • Working hours must be flexible to accommodate work in the evening
