I. Position Summary
This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of home revitalization projects to assist low-income homeowners in Atlanta, Georgia.
II. Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate assigned projects for the organization, including project plan preparation, budgeting, and community outreach
- Develop and implement projects assigned by Executive Director
- Create project materials and ensure that each assigned project achieves stated objectives
- Coordinate special events and marketing outreach efforts
III. Additional Responsibilities
- Plan and organize activities for home repair projects
- Identify and qualify homeowners for home repair services
- Prepare detailed work scopes and bio write-ups
- Coordinate bid process with skilled contractors
- Prepare homeowner work scope agreements for each project
- Ensure that project crews have needed tools to meet project milestones
- Create project schedules that include materials estimates and manpower
- Document project phases and create summary reports
- Schedule and conduct home site visits
IV. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years project management experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Advanced/intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
V. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability and interest in being outdoors for extended periods of time
- Equally comfortable in an office setting
- Ability to interact with different types of people (low-income homeowners, seniors, veterans, disabled persons, families, contractors, government officials, sponsors, board members, etc.)
- Ability to work alone as well as in a team environment
- Organized, efficient, proactive, and able to meet deadlines
- Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs
- The project coordinator will travel to sites, therefore must have driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must have weekend availability as needed for rebuilds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required
