Job Details

The ANDP Loan Fund Manager will work closely with ANDP’s President & CEO and Senior Director of Capital Development to manage and grow the ANDP Loan Fund. The ANDP Loan Fund Manager will be integral to the Loan Fund’s capital raising and deployment goals and will directly ensure successful management of the loan portfolio and day-to-day operations.  

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating capital, compliance, loan approvals, and certain loan administration activities in conjunction with the ANDP Loan Fund Committee and Reinvestment. The candidate will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on the Loan Fund’s activities and meeting compliance requirements for funders and investors. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with raising new capital sources for the ANDP Loan Fund and managing relationships with external partners such as other Georgia-focused CDFIs, the Opportunity Finance Network, and the U.S. Treasury’s CDFI Fund.

To be successful, she or he must: have prior experience related to finance, real estate development, affordable housing, and/or urban planning; have strong writing, communication, and relationship management skills; have at minimum a basic understanding of financial statements and key financial performance ratios; and display sound judgment in prioritizing actions based on outcomes. This individual must also be exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and a high bar for quality. 

Position Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities for this position include:

Portfolio Management (30%)
Oversee the ANDP Loan Fund’s overall portfolio performance against its goals in conjunction with the ANDP Loan Fund Committee, ANDP Senior Management, and Reinvestment Fund staff.
• Coordinate all Loan Fund Committee meetings and take thorough meeting minutes
• Prepare Loan Fund reports for ANDP’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee on a quarterly basis
• Maintain records of all past and current projects financed by the ANDP Loan Fund
• Track upcoming loan maturities and available capital and bank and foundation investments in Loan Fund
• Project future deployment based on anticipated loan closings, expiring loans, and capital availability
• Work with Reinvestment Fund and ANDP staff to support centralized marketing to and prospecting of potential eligible borrowers.


Capital Raising (25%)
• Prepare grant and capital requests to the U.S. Treasury’s CDFI Fund, NeighborWorks America, local and national foundations, bank partners, and other potential funders
• Maintain records of all capital raised and all credit facility agreements
Reporting and Compliance (25%)
Generate and submit reports on the Loan Fund’s activities to internal and external stakeholders and submit compliance reports to funders and investors as required.
• Coordinate with Reinvestment Fund and ANDP Accounting Staff to compile and analyze quarterly loan activity reports and financial statements
• Prepare quarterly dashboard reports and accompanying narratives on the Loan Fund’s social impact, portfolio performance, and financial performance
• Ensure loan community review of the ANDP Loan Fund’s Policies and Procedures on a biannual basis
• Send quarterly financials and other compliance requirements to ANDP investors
• Submit loan activity and compliance reports to NeighborWorks America, Opportunity Finance Network, the CDFI Fund, and other stakeholders and funders on an as-requested basis
• Manage the Loan Fund’s CDFI Awards Management Information System (AMIS) account
• Ensure timely submission of annual CDFI certification and SAM.gov registration requirements
• Manage the Loan Fund’s role as Fund Administrator of the Georgia Communities CDFI Coalition and ensure proper compliance and reporting to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs

Relationship Management and Team Responsibilities (20%)
Establish and maintain excellent relationships with Loan Fund Committee members, ANDP Board members, Reinvestment Fund, donors and investors, and other partners. Play key role in coordinating meetings and compliance needs for the Georgia Communities CDFI Coalition.

• Manage relationships with fellow lenders, CDFIs, and other stakeholders active in the metro Atlanta region
• Attend meetings and site visits with prospective borrowers alongside ANDP Senior Management and Reinvestment Fund staff as applicable
• Communicate with borrowers as needed for project updates and reporting needs when appropriate
• Coordinate meetings, lending activities, and reporting requirements with partnering organizations in the Georgia Communities CDFI Coalition
• Coordinate ANDP’s relationship with Reinvestment Fund staff and serve as a liaison between Reinvestment staff and ANDP’s accounting team. Coordinate the agenda for ANDP/Reinvestment Fund monthly calls
• Represent ANDP and the ANDP Loan Fund at special events and regular convenings of groups such as the Atlanta TransFormation Alliance, Opportunity Finance Network, etc.

Candidate Profile and Desired Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Urban Planning, or other related field, or a Bachelor’s Degree plus at least three to four years of experience in a related sector
• Competency in financial analysis and detailed understanding of the financial components of how to prepare capital grant applications
• Flexible and adaptable work style with the ability to work some nights and weekends as needed, manage deadlines and competing demands, and work independently
• Able to travel throughout metro Atlanta to meet with prospective borrowers, investors, and other stakeholders as needed
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of work
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Comfortable with and excited by managing in an entrepreneurial environment
• Fluency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
• Proven track record of developing and implementing operational improvements
• Proven track record of managing change within periods of growth
