Job Title: Training Manager
Supervisor: Director of Professional Development and Center Services , Metro Atlanta
Salary: Based on experience and education
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop training sessions/materials related to early learning/child care (beginning, intermediate and advanced), to include the development of distance learning opportunities. Conduct TFT sessions for other QCC staff.
- Collaborate with other members of the QCC staff to renew expired training
- Work collaboratively with the Training Coordinators in each office to coordinate training sessions and ensure that all training needs and deliverables are met.
- Utilize technology to expand training options.
- Provide support and guidance to QCC staff to assist them with the Trainer/Training Approval process, training development, and training best practices.
- Conduct face-to-face training sessions throughout the North Georgia, Metro Atlanta, and East Georgia regions
- Provide a training/learning environment that gives early childhood professionals hands-on training based on the most current research, practical information while adhering to Adult Learning Theory techniques
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred.
- State Approved trainer; required. Trainer Level 2 or 3 preferred.
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of Bright From the Start: Department of Early Care and Learning: Quality Rated Standards and Practices, Rules and Regulations, Pre-K Guidelines and GA Early Learning and Development Standards and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards,
- Knowledge of the Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale, the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, School-Age Care Environmental Rating Scale and Family Child Care Environmental Rating Scale (by Thelma Harms and associates, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill)
- Reliable means of transportation (travel throughout North, East, and Metro Atlanta Regions required). Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to present proof of insurability
- Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Available to work some nights and Saturdays
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Frequent driving.
- Consistently standing for 2 hours or more delivering training or facilitating meetings.
- Sitting at the computer for 3 hours or more at a time.
- Bending, frequent use of hands, stooping and moderate lifting (at least 25 pounds) required.
- Noise level in the work environment may be high at times.
