Facebook’s Engineer for the Week (EFTW) program aims to demystify the world of tech, empowering teens to build a working tech product while developing computer science skills. We are excited to bring on a Program Coordinator who will support the development and execution of EFTW’s programmatic objectives. This candidate will possess program coordination experience and excellent project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of programmatic objectives
- Work with vendors to plan, purchase, and process events and services
- Coordinate engagement opportunities including guest speakers and field trips
- Support the operations of EFTW, including managing logistics (food, transit, coordinating speakers, etc.) and fulfilling administrative needs
- Take on projects assigned by the PM with creativity, initiative, and self-direction
- Support planning and coordination of the program and its activities
- Ensure implementation of policies and practices
- Help build positive relations within the team and external parties
- Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda
- Keep updated partner and site records and create reports or proposals
- Support growth and program development
Minimum qualifications:
- 3+ years full time work experience related to the duties specified
- Direct experience in program and event coordination, education or nonprofit preferred
- Experience within a high volume and high intensity coordination environment preferred
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong project management skills balance multiple priorities
- Experience scheduling and managing events
- Experience having worked with collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for creating access and equity in computer science
- Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving and working as a team
Education:
- Minimum of a BA
