Major Gifts Officer:

We work with philanthropists to make an impact on the lives of 60,000 people every year. We build deep personal relationships with donors. As a Major Gifts Officer at the MJCCA, you will identify, cultivate and build authentic relationships with new major donor prospects ($5000+), and solicit donations and assist in major gift donor stewardship
FLSA: Exempt
40 Hours a week
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward qualified prospects and donors
- Conduct and/or coordinate face-to-face visits, and other activities with donors
- Meet or exceed annual individual revenue goals tied with agency budget
- Work independently and be self-motivated in initiating contacts with potential donors
- Collaborate with team members to analyze portfolios and strategize upgrades
- Demonstrate a keen sense of curiosity for donors – listening for what truly compels each donor to give substantially by asking the right questions – and be able to personally adapt as needed to meet the needs of donors
- Compassionately articulate the mission and impact of the MJCCA
- Guide the development of compelling proposals and oversee the development of creative presentations and reports
Key Requirements:
- 7+ years of front-line experience in leadership gifts development
- Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising
- Successful experience closing major gifts
- An energetic, creative and strategic approach to work Ability to think through and solve challenges
- Exemplary presentation skills and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
Senior Development Officer:

As a Senior Development Officer, you will identify, cultivate and build authentic relationships with new donor prospects (likely current program participants) ($1000+), help develop a gift soliciting strategy, solicit donations and assist in donor stewardship

- Design and implement an online monthly giving campaign
- Meet or exceed annual individual revenue goals tied to agency budget
- Work independently and be self-motivated in initiating contacts with potential donors
- Collaborate with team members to analyze portfolios and strategize upgrades
- Demonstrate a keen sense of curiosity for donors – listening for what truly compels each donor to give substantially by asking the right questions – and be able to personally adapt as needed to meet the needs of donors
