Description: The Wellness Services & Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and oversight of programming centered on wellness and self-sufficiency for the VEO population (adult male, female, and children program participants, as well as staff). They will actively engage with the outside community to build partnerships that enhance the lives and well-being of homeless veterans.
Responsibilities: (The following is not an exhaustive list and may be subject to change)
Continue ongoing partnerships with local universities (Georgia State University Occupational Therapy Graduate Program & Emory University Rollins School of Public Health).
Coordinate and supervise graduate student fieldwork experience
Create new plans for utilizing graduate students at VEO
Provide orientation to new students partnering with VEO
Oversee implementation of project recommendations
Serve as main point of contact for new Telehealth pilot program with iTransforMED.
Communicate regularly with iTransforMED
Educate clients on the benefits of participating
Assist with client recruitment and enrollment in the project
Perform all intakes for all incoming clients as well as updating information accordingly in ClientTrack.
Establish new professional partnerships within the community that promote collaboration and enhance wellness services offered at VEO.
Facilitate Day Program activities, including but not limited to: Mindfulness Workshops, Movie Nights, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, etc.
Communicating staff and client activities
Educate clients and staff on a variety of topics such as mental health, professional development, conflict resolution, coping skills, etc.
Assist Workforce Development programs.
Facilitate groups and/or workshops.
Participate in weekly agency-wide staff meetings.
Strengthen existing mental health programming and establish new initiatives based on Community Needs Assessments.
Develop overall programs and proposals as needed, including but not limited to:
Workforce programs
Supportive housing policies and procedures
Safety and human resource protocols alongside administrative staff
