POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The Specialist, Digital Education is charged with routine management and business operations of the ACR’s digital educational content; contributing to the development and testing of online activities; supporting users; and providing the onsite logistical support needed to implement virtual and hybrid meetings.  Assists with special online educational projects as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and support educational activities on third party platforms, e.g., ACR Beyond, image library, LMS includes developing and maintaining publication schedules, uploading content including video, speaker syllabi, learner evaluations and completing UAT prior to publication, etc.
  • Assist with ensuring works, rights and permissions are properly documented and represented within ACR’s internal systems and digital educational activities
  • Support virtual meeting and live streaming content throughout planning process and provide logistical support for virtual and hybrid meetings
  • Support users of ACR’s digital educational platforms by responding, resolving and documenting user inquiries
  • Manage the Rheumatology Image Library Subcommittee and annual submission process including the image caption writing review and upload process
  • Contribute to standard operating procedure documentation for digital educational activities
  • Maintain all digital learner statistics and user data includes providing a monthly report of the success, challenges or failures of initiatives under the incumbent’s purview along with recommended corrective action to be taken on a going forward basis
  • Some overnight and weekend travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities
  • Any other duties as the Director, Online Education, the Vice President, Education, or the ACR Executive Vice President may assign

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:               

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Two to five year experience with online education for adult learners with emphasis on virtual and hybrid meeting development and live streaming of educational meetings
  • Knowledge of current digital instructional technologies
  • Knowledge of  issue-tracking, bug-tracking, and project-management software
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft applications, Adobe Creative Cloud, content management systems, learning management systems, and internet communications
  • Knowledge of Apple Operating Systems and applications
  • Knowledge of copyright and permission compliance
  • Demonstrated expertise and success in:
  • Clear oral and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff, volunteers, members, and vendors tactfully and efficiently
  • Knowledge of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Accreditation Criteria, including the Standards for Commercial Support; the American Medical Association (AMA) Physician’s Recognition Award and Credit System for Continuing Medical Education (CME); and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program preferred
  • Certified Digital Event Strategist (DES) or equivalent certification preferred
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds on a routine basis
