Development Coordinator 

Reports To: Resource Development Director

Location: Atlanta, GA

Direct Reports: none  

Financial Target: N/A

Key Purpose of the Role: The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting GCAPP’s multi-dimensional fundraising strategies and activities with a primary focus on database management, donor acknowledgments and assisting the Resource Development Director’s creation and management of funder portfolios, proposals, reports, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure database accuracy, timeliness, integrity, confidentiality, and healthy record keeping
  • Act as subject matter expert to ensure GCAPP is fully utilizing Raiser’s Edge, Wealth Engine, SalesForce and iWave capabilities
  • Prepare progress reports, queries, and analysis requested by Resource Development Director, CEO and board of directors

Specific Day to Day Tasks:

  • Update, streamline and maintain donor database to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate creation, preparation, and distribution of solicitation mailings and event invitations
  • Produce timely donor acknowledgements
  • Perform wealth capacity research on donors and prospects
  • Implement recognition and appreciation strategies for donors
  • Assist post-event evaluation, acknowledgements, and reports

Key Relationships:

Experience

Essential

  • BA/BS with equivalent experience directly relating to duties and responsibilities
  • Three or more years of fundraising experience
  • Must be advanced in Raiser’s Edge database management

Desirable

  • Three or more years of database management including Raiser’s Edge database software, Wealth Engine, SalesForce, iWave, or equivalent

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Confident communicator with excellent and polished written and verbal skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong copywriting, proof-reading and editing skills
  • Experience in volunteer management
  • Understanding of nonprofit sector’s business and financial principles
  • Must be able to work in fact-paced environment and be able to manage change as priorities shift

Desirable

  • Knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes
