Development Coordinator
Reports To: Resource Development Director
Location: Atlanta, GA
Direct Reports: none
Financial Target: N/A
Key Purpose of the Role: The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting GCAPP’s multi-dimensional fundraising strategies and activities with a primary focus on database management, donor acknowledgments and assisting the Resource Development Director’s creation and management of funder portfolios, proposals, reports, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure database accuracy, timeliness, integrity, confidentiality, and healthy record keeping
- Act as subject matter expert to ensure GCAPP is fully utilizing Raiser’s Edge, Wealth Engine, SalesForce and iWave capabilities
- Prepare progress reports, queries, and analysis requested by Resource Development Director, CEO and board of directors
Specific Day to Day Tasks:
- Update, streamline and maintain donor database to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate creation, preparation, and distribution of solicitation mailings and event invitations
- Produce timely donor acknowledgements
- Perform wealth capacity research on donors and prospects
- Implement recognition and appreciation strategies for donors
- Assist post-event evaluation, acknowledgements, and reports
Key Relationships:
Experience
Essential
- BA/BS with equivalent experience directly relating to duties and responsibilities
- Three or more years of fundraising experience
- Must be advanced in Raiser’s Edge database management
Desirable
- Three or more years of database management including Raiser’s Edge database software, Wealth Engine, SalesForce, iWave, or equivalent
Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Confident communicator with excellent and polished written and verbal skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong copywriting, proof-reading and editing skills
- Experience in volunteer management
- Understanding of nonprofit sector’s business and financial principles
- Must be able to work in fact-paced environment and be able to manage change as priorities shift
Desirable
- Knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes
