We operate 9 medical centers that serve over 22,000 patients annually and offer comprehensive sexuality education that reaches thousands of young adults.

Full-time, exempt position in the Central Pennsylvania region, based in Lancaster, PA.

As a member of the Planned Parenthood Development Team, the Philanthropy Officer serves as the key steward for a portfolio of current and prospective philanthropists in support of Planned Parenthood.

You will be expected to meet annual revenue targets by identifying, engaging, cultivating, and ultimately soliciting major gifts from regional donors, thereby advancing the organizational mission and creating meaningful impact in the lives of both donors and beneficiaries of our mission. 

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

Manages an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects with intent to form deep relationships. Responsible for minimum annual fundraising goal. 

Works collaboratively with development staff and other departments to create customized solicitation strategies matching the objectives of the organization and interests of the donor/prospects.

Lead stewardship and cultivation events in Central, PA.

Develop donor management plans for entire portfolio resulting in strategic, knowledgeable and complex asks. Personally solicits assigned donor portfolio through face to face visits, including preparation of personalized materials. 

Implements programs/activities to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors at the $1,000 level or higher. 

Works with community Board members and other leadership volunteers to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward appropriate donors. 

Updates donor records in database.

Cultivates, solicits and stewards support from corporations and foundations to meet annual fundraising goals within their region. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 5 years fundraising experience required. Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention growth and recapture and proven success with complex requests is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge or Salesforce). Requires frequent travel within the region.
