Job Title:   Retail Inventory Specialist

Reports To:  Retail Manager

Status:  Non-exempt, Part-time

Salary: $13.00/Hourly

JOB SUMMARY

The Part-time Retail Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining the records of all store inventories and product inventory reports for the GSGATL’s Retail Stores on a regular basis.  He/She will ensure that sales records and actual store inventory match up, and keep all stock organized and replenished as necessary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work to support the key priorities of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers (external and internal).
  • Ensure an accurate accounting of inventory for all stores.
  • Manage efficient and effective merchandise and ordering process.
  • Receive shipments, verify their accuracy, and enter into database.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels at branches and flagship stores.
  • Assist with the Annual Physical Inventory of the retail stores.
  • Assist the Retail Manager with managing the inventory database and various IT systems utilized by GSGATL.
  • Assists customers on the sales floor when necessary.
  • Ensures that all items on the sales floor are organized, properly stored, and in good condition.
  • Ensure the retail stores follow GSUSA’s planogram recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate account receivable records (staff and inter-departmental accounts).
  • Locates and removes defective merchandise from the sales floor.
  • Assist the Retail Manager with managing e-commerce sales activity and upload Council-owned merchandise to website.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with GSUSA support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in the use of inventory software.
  • Knowledge of the organization’s range of products and services.
  • Ability to interpret and explain inventory and sales reports.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Works well with a team.
  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to drive the Council vans and box truck
  • Preferred knowledge of Girl Scout organization
  • Must successfully complete a criminal, national sex offender search, motor vehicle and credit background check.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends
  • Ability to drive to all store locations to work and observe

Physical Requirements

Requires the physical mobility to sit, walk or stand for moderate periods of time and to occasionally carry or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds or more.
