The Presidio Trust is seeking a Human Resources Specialist (aka Employee Support Services Specialist) to join our Employee Support Services Office in the People Division in the Presidio. Once an Army Base, the Presidio of San Francisco is now a new kind of national park. The Employee Support Services Team is small and highly productive – every member is highly valued.  The team provides human resources services for about 350 employees in professional, administrative, technical, clerical, and trades occupations. Approximately one-half of the work force is included in a bargaining unit, and the entire workforce serves under an Administratively Determined (AD) pay plan. Although the Presidio Trust is a Federal agency, it is authorized under Section 103(c)(7) of the Presidio Trust Act to appoint and fix the compensation and duties and terminate employees without regard to title 5 of the United States Code or other laws related to the appointment, compensation or termination of Federal employees. The significant agency flexibilities provided by this Section are far-reaching and provide an HR professional with a work environment that is both stimulating and challenging.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced and highly productive employee support or human resources professional. You are a key member of our team, and will interact closely with various internal teams and departments of the Trust, as well as the general public and stakeholders, in furthering the Trust’s mission. You have excellent collaboration and communication skills, are focused and calm under pressure, and are capable of supporting and working constructively with a team of professionals.

Applications received by March 4, 2019 will receive first consideration. We are planning to hold three rounds of phone and in-person interviews beginning the week of March 11th, make a job offer before the end of March, and set a work start date in April 2019.
