MEDICAL ASSISTANT – FULL TIME

 QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Completion of a certified medical assistant training program

EXPERIENCE:

Current Medical Assistant License through WA State Dept. of Health required

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

ABILITIES:

Treats patients in accordance with the mission and philosophy of the clinic

Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills

Ability to learn and use NextGen effectively

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for patient flow and assisting Providers in direct and indirect care delivery.

Conduct patient education as appropriate

Provide coverage for Referral, Medical Records, Call Center, and Reception as needed and as trained

Keep a clean work environment

Work as a team to provide quality patient care and support for the providers

Provide coverage during lunch hour and after closing as assigned

Participate in staff meetings, the staff evaluation process, and quality improvement activities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, fine finger movement, use of keyboard, use of telephone, viewing computer monitor

Occasional bending, stooping (bending at the waist), twisting, pushing/pulling, lifting (up to 50 pounds)

Adequate hearing and vision as well as manual dexterity to operate computer and patient care equipment (such as syringes, EKG, scale) are required

Regular attendance is required for this position
