Executive Director – Florida Council Against Sexual Violence 
 
The Florida Council Against Sexual Violence (FCASV), a private not-for-profit 501 (3) (c) and the federally recognized state sexual assault coalition, seeks a new, full time Executive Director. Established in 1986, FCASV represents Florida’s 31 rape crisis centers, and certifies them as meeting core service and governance standards. In addition to its statewide work to improve the coordinated community response to sexual violence, FCASV also administers (passes through) state and federal funding that supports the provision of services to and for survivors.  

The Executive Director guides and coordinates the activities of the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence and its staff to: 1) establish and leverage partnerships in the service of survivors and the programs serving them; 2) provide exceptional technical assistance and training to certified sexual violence programs; and 3) necessarily expand its influence to effectively improve responses to victims statewide.  

The Executive Director is responsible for FCASV’s achievement of its mission, including strategic and operational goals, staffing, programs, and financial objectives. The Executive Director must be deeply committed to FCASV’s mission, and to excellence in advancing the organization, providing sound fiscal management, and sustaining positive relationships with the Board of Directors, certified sexual violence programs, staff, statewide and community partners, and key constituencies.        

Requirements 1. Exceptional collaborator skilled at bipartisan relationship building, creating and nurturing effective coalitions, and serving as spokesperson for advancing commitment to survivors of sexual violence 2. Highly developed financial acumen; budget development, management of multiple Federal/State funding streams 3. Proven ability to manage effectively and uphold complex grant administration, funding streams and compliance deliverables in place (without missing a beat) 4. Demonstrated communication skills; written, public speaking, media savvy and grant writing 5. Oversee and sustain a diverse professional team including recruitment, assessment, supervision, mentoring and employee relations with ability to relate to people regardless of gender, race, age, sexual orientation or socio-economic background 6. Visionary able to assess, develop, implement and lead strategic planning 7. Advance the Council mission; successful track-record directing service providers and program administrators in local centers and agencies 8. Evaluate services delivery and measure client agency/collaborator feedback using total quality improvement to implement best practices 9. Participate in scheduled meetings and seek direction from FCASV Board, maintain open communications and prepare/present annual grant budget breakdowns 10. Experience leading organizational anti-racism and anti-oppression efforts, promoting racial equality and diversity, and breaking down barriers to make services accessible to underserved and marginalized communities 

 Preferred 1. Successful track record securing/balancing increased funding sources and managing Federal/State funding and understanding complex grant financials 2. Proven track record securing private funding sources and funding appeals 3. Managed or provided clinical/direct services in an agency environment 4. Comfortable managing a thriving a self-directed and project-driven team 5. Developed and implemented certification standards and compliance policies  

Education/Experience 1. Master’s degree in social service administration or related field with senior management experience or bachelor’s degree plus equivalent experience as a senior manager in a non-profit or government environment 2. Established ability to manage a statewide agency 3. Promoted understanding of sexual assault issues and provided quality service delivery on behalf of sexual assault victims and survivors 4. Demonstrated ability to work independently while securing decisions through group process
