DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR INTERN

Job Type: Paid Internship

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving revenue goals to support SPK mission. 
  • Donor research for individuals, and corporations. 
  • Build, and manage strong donor relationships. 
  • Plan and develop a fundraising strategy. 
  • Implement and coordinate fundraising activities. 
  • Create proposals. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team. 
  • Volunteer recruitment. 
  • Training and managing the assigned interns.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional fundraising or related experience 
  • Previous experience working with a Nonprofit Organization 
  • Grant writing 
  • Community Outreach/Public Relations 
  • Reliable transportation. 
  • Excellent verbal, and written skills. 
  • Must be a problem solver, organized, dependable, and a team player 
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision. 
  • Strong work ethics 
  • Knowledge of fundraising, and donor development (minimum 2 years 
  • experience) 
  • Able to meet deadlines. 
  • Must have a positive attitude!

Skye Precious Kids provides emergency and immediate assistance to families of sick and disabled children in short term financial crisis. Chronic illnesses and medical conditions affect millions of children and their families with significant financial and emotional stress each year. Serving  the most vulnerable members of our community we at Skye Precious Kids are not limited by an illness or disability. Skye Precious Kids works with a diverse demographic to bring aid and support to metro Atlanta families of children who are suffering through our three programs:

*Precious Families -Short term financial support for rent, utilities, food, gas and other necessities during times of unemployment due to caring for children or due to transition between jobs; renovations to homes for handicapped accessibility with items such as stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, ramping, bathroom accessibility renovations.

*Precious Health- Medical costs including co-pays, deductibles, medications, durable medical equipment and supplies, diapers, treatment and therapies as well as skilled nursing and respite care. Aid with bridging the gap between what Medicaid and private insurance provides and what sick and disabled children truly need but their parents cannot afford

*Precious Minds- Support to continue meaningful education while homebound including tutors, homework assistance, computers and assistive technology, scholarships for special and online courses.
