Operations Associate, Business Development

Location: Flexible (Boston or NYC Preferred)

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Operations Associate, Business Development will play an important role in executing contracts with our partnerships with schools and districts. On a daily basis, they will connect with colleagues across the country to help them understand contracting requirements, procurement hurdles, invoicing, and compliance. They will also assist with database management and administration support. As an Associate on our team, you will do what it takes to help launch our partnerships smoothly and efficiently while ensuring we have the data we need as well as the appropriate documentation to meet the needs of our partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Database Operations

 

Database entry support to track sales data, document contracting requirements, procurement and compliance, payment details and create new opportunities

 

Data integrity; ensuring consistency and accuracy in data collected across the organization through regular quality checks and reporting

 

Enter data into each partner's Salesforce record to update contract status and invoicing requirements

 

Assist with data entry and database clean-up, as needed

 

Generate Salesforce reporting to analyse basic metrics and measure progress against goals

 

Execute Contracts for Current and New School Partners

 

Meet as needed with the regional staff members to guide them through the contracting processes, provide status updates, and escalate accordingly

 

Support in outreach to gather information needed to generate contracts

 

Generate standard contracts using information captured in Salesforce database

 

Send documents electronically for signature to the appropriate contacts

 

Track document completion, following up as necessary for outstanding contracts and saving contracts in the appropriate location

 

Troubleshoot and escalate questions from partners regarding contracts

 

Administration Support

 

Develop required documentation and reports for invoicing, and support with outreach to partners to ensure timely payment

 

Complete and manage supporting documentation required for vendor setup

 

Responsible for internal organizational structure of contracting and procurement documents

 

Support RFP manager with required paperwork and obtaining signatures

 

Support in development of internal communications regarding operations progress towards goals and revenue

 

Procurement Support

 

Assist with procurement projects, including research of contract guidelines and completing required paperwork, and document accordingly

 

Surface and escalate issues related to procurement or contracting elements

 

Assist with special projects

 

Assist with various business development operational and administrative tasks, as needed

Ideal candidates may also demonstrate the following preferred qualifications:

You have previous experience with Salesforce or other CRM databases

 

You bring experience using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets

 

You are an exceptional communicator and know how to get creative in order to influence internal and external stakeholders
