Overview Renew Moline, a non-profit organization working for the revitalization of downtown Moline, Illinois is looking for an organized and self-motivated person to support a prominent and high-functioning office. This “Jack/Jill of all trades” will have a tremendous opportunity to learn, network and develop a range of skills and experiences while being responsible to administer a wide variety of office functions, manage projects and conduct communication/outreach for Renew. The position is full-time, works closely with and reports to the President/CEO and does not have any direct reports.
We are looking for a person who is:
· Interested in community building, downtown redevelopment and the work of Renew Moline;
· Customer service-oriented, able to work with a large Board of Directors and member organizations;
· Highly self-motivated, able to manage workload, producing requested work and meeting self-identified goals;
· Able to multi-task while also being detail-oriented, providing correct and accurate work products with minimal oversight;
· A “proactive spirit”: collaborative and dedicated to achieving results; and
A person of high standards of personal conduct who has an ability to build and maintain strong professional networks and relationships.
Education, Experience and Outlook:
· Bachelor’s degree in political science, urban planning, sociology, geography, marketing, communications or related field. Other degrees will be considered with relevant professional experience).
· At least two years of professional experience (three years with part time or internship-based experience relevant to Renew Moline).
· Solid skills in Microsoft Office and other standard office software; plus an ability and desire to learn and use new systems. Being a “techie” is a plus.
· Solid work ethic, consistent application of time and skills to work effort.
· Be social media literate, appropriate and active.
