Manager, Prospect Research and Analysis

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prospect Identification and Analysis: Develop corporate and individual donor prospects lists and implement procedures for sharing actionable lists with internal stakeholders including executive office, donor engagement, major gifts, and marketing. Collaborate with marketing department on customer base expansion strategy.

• Reports and Information: Perform data analysis and queries to identify prospects from internal and external sources.Emphasis on analysis of prospect engagement with UWGA events as well as other pertinent donor/prospect information such as donation history and financial capacity. Provide timely and relevant reports and profiles summarizing findings, potential for philanthropic support, ties to UWGA, and suggested strategies for connection.

• Resource Utilization and Data Management: Identify and coordinate outside vendors in the implementation of prospect discovery resources and services. Verify and validate current data collection and analysis tools to capture information. Update local systems with updated data. Work with Director of CRM and VP of Analytics & Insights on centralized data management.

• Publications: Review daily, weekly, and monthly publications to uncover timely information about donors and prospects. Document and disseminate information effectively.

• Industry Developments: Stay abreast of developments in Research by communicating with other researchers, attending conferences and training sessions, and taking advantage of online learning opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Keen understanding of philanthropy (mission, practice, trends) and fundraising practices (the development cycle, prospect management policies and practices, database management).
  • Experience in proactive prospecting methodologies, concepts, and strategies to cultivate and secure prospects.
  • Experience in Microsoft CRM, Wealth Engine, and/or DonorSearch a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, oral and written.
  • Strong ethics and ability to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and good judgment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI a plus.
  • Experience in data review including extraction of data, query development, list management, information review.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, or similar research.
