Marketing and Development Office at the Piedmont Park Conservancy

Marketing Coordinator: Full-Time

Reports to: Director of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations

The Piedmont Park Conservancy is looking for a full-time Marketing Coordinator to assist the Director of Marketing, Communications and PR in strategic initiatives and projects to aid various departments in their marketing and communication needs.  The Marketing and Development team raises awareness about necessary funding and involvement from the community to sustain and grow beautiful Piedmont Park. We inform the public about the many ways to support the Park including but not limited to volunteering, donating, renting a venue, or engaging in one of our programs.

Goals for this Position:

  • Deliver efficient and satisfactory marketing support to all Conservancy departments
  • Maintain brand integrity and continuity in order to ensure a positive public image
  • Provide added value to the overall Conservancy team

Key Activities:

  • Promotions for Programs and Services for Conservancy:
  • Project coordination for marketing requests
  • Basic graphic design and production of materials
  • Website edits
  • Coordination of paid advertising tactics
  • Email content management and production
  • Distribution and quality control of marketing materials
  • Aids in Piedmont Park activations and events promoting the Conservancy
  • Market Research and Planning:
  • Collaborate with various departments
  • Conduct market research and planning
  • Identify creative tactics and the latest industry strategies
  • Administrative:
  • Submission of invoices and detailed tracking of marketing budget purchases
  • Tracking of project status and time investment
  • Purchase and procure marketing related purchases

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field
  • Six months of paid or unpaid relevant experience; can be through internships
  • Must be able to pass an e-verification, drug test and background check

Desired Qualifications:

  • Displayed skill of graphic design – the Conservancy uses Canva, Publisher, Photoshop, InDesign and more
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Creative mind and spirit
  • Academic coursework or experience in advertising
  • Comfort with talking and soliciting strangers
