Cancer Support Community Atlanta, a leading area nonprofit organization providing free cancer support to people in our area affected by cancer, has an exciting career opportunity for a dynamic Program Director.  Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this full-time position leads the growth and coordination of program operations for the organization throughout the Atlanta community.  The Program Director supervises a team of licensed instructors and facilitators, overseeing an extensive calendar of events and activities including support groups, exercise and stress reduction classes, nutrition and cooking classes, presentations, and social activities.  This is an exciting and rewarding position for a high energy individual in a great working environment with a team of people passionate about helping others.  Please email cover letter and resume to christy@cscatlanta.org.

The position requires:

  •  A Master’s level licensed mental health professional  ( LCSW, LPC) with a minimum of 5 years postgraduate management and clinical experience
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a presenter, trainer, and communicator (oral and written)
  • Dynamic thinker with ability to build a strategic plan
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage staff and offer clinical supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to develop programs
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize efforts and multitask
  • Knowledge of local nonprofits, healthcare, cancer and outreach organizations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Need to be available for occasional after hours and weekend activities
