Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving to join our growing development team. This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the major gifts and planned giving components of Sheppard Pratt’s development program. The person in this role will develop cultivation, solicitation, and recognition strategies for major and planned giving prospects, and will execute a strategic plan to increase the number of planned gifts and the bequest expectancies.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years non-profit fundraising experience, with at least two years in a role focused on major gift identification, cultivation, solicitation, and recognition. This person must have demonstrated prior success in soliciting and securing major and planned gifts, a knowledge of major gift fundraising techniques, and an understanding of the trends in philanthropy, tax, and estate planning regulations.
