The PHACE Syndrome Community, Inc. (PSC), a 501(c)3 is seeking an Executive Director.  The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. The position reports directly to the President with responsibility to the Board of Directors.

Position’s Purpose:

Perform the day-to-day administrative activities of the PSC and implementation of programs and strategic plan to facilitate the achievement of the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors. Provide support for, and build relationships with the Board, volunteers and members to facilitate engagement with the organization. Integrate with PHACE syndrome community, medical community and other family advocacy groups.  In partnership with the Treasurer, the ED is responsible for the fiscal integrity of PSC, including monthly financial statements which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization.  In partnership with the President and the Board, perform fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support PSC’s mission.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Transparent and high integrity leadership
  • Non-profit management experience
  • Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
  • Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
  • Ability to convey the Board’s vision to volunteers, and donors
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector – with a proven track record of prior fundraising
  • Volunteer recruitment, training, motivation, and ongoing effectiveness
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interface, work effectively, and engage diverse individuals, volunteers, and donor groups
  • Public speaking experience
  • Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
