Responsibilities as Coordinator, Programs and Marketing:

The Coordinator, Programs & Marketing and Partnerships Administrator role a hybrid contractor/temp-to-permanent position with diverse responsibilities including social media execution, planning, development, reporting, implementation, evaluation and marketing of programs, projects and services of MovementForward, Inc. and its’ initiatives. This position will play a leading role with ensuring efficiency, efficacy and missional consistency of all organizational programs, projects, services and community. The Coordinator  will also assist with the development, delivery, monitoring and execution of the program and project planning process. An ideal candidate should have skills, experience and capacity, when needed, to:


  • Develop and manage timelines, project/program scope and action plans for all programs, projects, and initiatives of MovementForward, Inc.:


    • Collaborate with senior leadership team at the initiation of each new program or project to ensure that project plans are strategically aligned and that projected resource allocations are clearly understood and actionable;


      Ensure that project milestones and timelines are met and that all collaborators understand their specific areas of responsibility and associated timelines) and deliverables;


    Serve as the primary point of contact for organizational events:


    • Manage vendor relationships, with particular emphasis on ensuring that vendors are clear on their specific deliverables, budget/resource allocation, and timeline milestones. Also ensure that connections and communication between vendors/venue/staff/etc. are made to ensure seamless execution;


    Manage detailed work streams and deadlines for events that include the following functional planning areas:


    • Planning- create and manage event project plans, collaborate with key stakeholders (DCPS, session designers) to ensure the plan stays up to date and accurate, leverage relationships to follow up on action items and preview upcoming items;


      Event Logistics – Venue set-up and coordination, catering, sound and technology, staffing plans, external guests, manage participant survey, and data reporting;


      Programming – Prepare session materials, session prints or online document management;


      Finance – Track and monitor expenses against approved budget;


      Internal Communications – Weekly project plan updates to key stakeholders, facilitate event staff, vendor, and volunteer training; schedule all event related meetings including participant invitations/scheduling, meeting agendas, and meeting outcomes/follow-up; Create and manage a master-file of event-related documents for each event in Google Drive that is shared with appropriate collaborators:


  • Coordinate post project/event debriefing with MFI staff, invited vendors, and stakeholders:


    • Design and implement benchmarks to measure and evaluate program effectiveness, host satisfaction, and assess overall programmatic success;




    • Ensure that there are appropriate feedback/evaluation tools for each project and/or event (surveys, budget vs. actual, project plan reports, testimonial comments, etc.);


      Manage, analyze, and prepare program summary, evaluation, and financial data;


      Schedule post project/event debriefing session and ensure that all necessary material and participants are present;


  • Coordinator and manage the conception, creation, promotion and measurement of marketing communication strategies, campaigns, dashboards and content, working with internal team and external third-party resources;


    Respond to program inquiries and interest from hosts, the public, and partners, managing any emergency situations as needed;


    Develop collaborative relationships with community leaders and current/potential partners to offer innovative programs that address specific needs related to organizational mission;


  • Design, write, edit and mail all print and digital publications, including organizational and initiative annual reports, brochures, fact sheets, invitations and newsletters;


    Maintain and update the organization’s websites including and;


    Plan and execute website content and online communications strategies, including e-newsletters, social networking sites, and other e-communications;


    Plan and implement press events around our initiatives, ongoing programs and special events;


    • Execute calendar posts and social media posts for all MovementForward events;


      Serve as (or arrange for) general photographer at all events and any photo shoots;


    Serve as a public spokesperson for the organization, its initiatives and the Senior Management Team when appropriate;


  • Assist with identifying and managing show- or project-specific targeted marketing;


  • Distribute promotional materials through media, listservs, social media, email lists, mailing lists, etc.;


    Create (or manage the vendor sourcing of) flyers, ads, signs, cards, logos and other digital and print promotional materials;


    Develop and maintain public relations plan for the organization and organizational initiatives, including tracking PR efforts;


  • Develop overarching social media strategic plan to grow our list, support our initiative, increase brand awareness and deepen constituent engagement;


    • Develop, implement, manage and track social media campaigns including platform specific action plans for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram;


      Evaluate new social media platforms and data management tools; negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors;


      Develop social media partnerships with organizations, like-minded businesses, and influencers; explore pathways for cross-promotion;


      Utilize various promotional strategies (including customization, cross promotions, paid advertising) to amplify social reach;


      Work with relevant partners to develop bilingual social media outreach strategies as well as efforts to engage with diverse audiences on social media;


      Stay informed of latest social media trends and share knowledge with wider team;


    Assist with researching new funding opportunities through online databases and other publications, private-foundation and corporate grant-writing, and networking/relationship management with current and potential donors;


  • Research and stay abreast of the social justice, civil rights, and human rights organizational landscape in Atlanta and associated programs, advocacy activities and events/actions:


    • In collaboration with senior leadership team, cultivate and manage relationships with organizations and individuals in the Atlanta social justice, civil rights and human rights communities; and


      When necessary, provides recommendations and discernment on actions and partnership opportunities.




Responsibilities as Partnerships Administrator:


  • Develop and manage all partnerships among OneCOP congregational and law enforcement partners.


    Coordinate and manage various projects, programs, and special events as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and/or the Chief Operating Officer;


    Identify and vet houses of worship (churches, synagogues, mosques, etc.) for partnerships with local police.  Partnerships will be diverse in demography and religion. Identify the faith leaders and preferred communication methodologies for those congregations.  Strategically identify and prioritize opportunities to connect local law enforcement agencies with faith leaders to explore partnerships;


    Facilitate and administer successful partnership programs that may be replicated for possible future implementation with congregations in other regions.  Collect data and provide concrete evidence to document the success of these programs;


    Initiate and conduct partnership planning with law enforcement executives and faith leaders.  Identify key agencies and leadership. Access and learn about their goals and needs, persuasively present opportunities to partner specific congregations with first responders.  Lead the actual implementation of the initiative;


    Liaise with points of contact for law enforcement and houses of worship to ensure regular communication and successful implementation of the One Congregation One Precinct initiative.  Rapidly respond partners’ needs and ideas, and solve problems with services or resources;


    Assertively collaborate with colleagues and external partners to accomplish your targets.  Communicate issues and concerns in a timely and positive manner. Assist executives to develop funding and partnership proposals.  Communicate ideas to develop and implement new strategies for improving the quality of all MovementForward projects and programs;


    Develop data collection and survey methodologies to provide data to show merits of the initiative.  Collect questionnaire information from participants and provide survey analysis to the executive team in report format;


    Provide informal and formal reporting to external partners, working with internal teams.  Prepare and submit reports that are on-time, accurate, and communicate the full impact. Develop, track and communicate appropriate metrics for partnerships and MFI executives;


    Perform trainings and deliver other presentations to our public and private partners; and


    Other appropriate duties as assigned.
