About Georgia Center for Nonprofits
The mission of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits is to build thriving communities by helping nonprofits succeed. Through a powerful mix of advocacy, solutions for nonprofit effectiveness, and insight-building tools, GCN provides nonprofits, board members and donors with the tools they need to strengthen organizations that make a difference on important causes throughout Georgia.
GCN provides comprehensive support to more than a thousand organizations and 5,000 professionals spanning the nonprofit world in scale and scope—from international organizations to corporate philanthropies, foundations, and community initiatives. Through exclusive access to publications, research, in-depth online content, cost-saving opportunities, and learning and networking events throughout the year, GCN Membership connects sector professionals with thought leaders, leading funders, experts and peers—proving the power of our community in sharing knowledge and building partnerships.
Innovative year-round onsite and online programming through GCN’s Nonprofit University delivers an array of professional development opportunities to develop leadership skills and core competencies. Our Nonprofit Consulting Group provides the expert guidance to develop strategies and build capacity for organizations of all sizes, enabling them to accelerate and grow their impact.
With our annual Georgia Gives Day initiative, GCN has helped our state's nonprofits tap the potential of online fundraising—in its first four years, raising $9 million from 54,000 donations, supporting 2,4000 participating nonprofits. And Work for Good is GCN’s national job board and leading hiring and career resource for the purpose-driven community.
