ABC Strath Haven's mission is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society. We do this by providing a high-quality education to high achieving, low-income students of color. Since 1963, A Better Chance has been opening the door to educational opportunities for thousands of young people of color in this nation. A Better Chance Strath Haven is a residential program serving low-income high school scholars whose families reside in areas such as New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Scholars live in Swarthmore, PA while attending high school at award-winning Strath Haven High School.
