PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:   The Director of Information Technology is entrusted to maintain all aspects of the organization’s existing technology investment and to promote the use of technology in the furtherance of agency’s goals.  The director will provide direction to the organization in matters involving relationships with external technology vendors or providers and management of the agency’s IT security from the operating system level to the enterprise level.  He or she will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures function efficiently.  He or she is also responsible for ensuring that all levels pass the mandatory periodic security audits and for conducting periodic IT performance reviews of costs and productivity in order to provide recommendations for upgrades and the improvement of productivity levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise, mentor, and develop IT department; staff of two (2)

●Provide hands-on tier II/III user support for all computing and connectivity issues

●Works collaboratively with the Director of Information Systems

●Authorize and execute disaster recovery plans, IT policies, and IT processes

●Prepare and oversee IT security audit materials, supporting documents and investigations

●Collaborates with the Director of Information Systems on large scale software migrations and other projects involving multiple resources and stakeholders; including software selection

●Maintain a WSUS and Forefront Client security environment

●Develop business case justification and cost benefit analysis when selecting IT products and services

●Negotiate contracts with various vendors

●Improve efficiency and reduce cost through effective use of information technology

●Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements

●Manage security of networks, systems, and enterprise information (all things cyber)

●Manage systems such as access control, telephone, (multi-site)

●Build relationships with external IT vendors and service providers

●Plan, develop, implement, and deploy IT infrastructure solutions across all sites and campuses

●Benchmark and recommend improvement of the IT infrastructure of IT systems

QUALIFICATIONS: 

●Experience with credit card processing environment and a comprehensive understanding of PCI standards and information security best practices

●Ability to think creatively and engineer solutions around non-profit budgets

●Active Directory Management to include a thorough understanding of the use of GPO’s for software distribution and policy based desktop configuration

●Avaya IP Office phone system management, including complex voice trees and call routing.

●Sonicwall Firewall configuration and management, including site-to-site VPN’s

●Microsoft SQL server management and database skills, including backup and restoration of operations, SSRS implementation, etc.

●CCNA/P or greater level of understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 networking infrastructure and principles including hands-on command line level configuration of routers, switches, VLAN’s, etc.

●Physical layer experience with low-voltage cabling, data runs, punch down, wire field management

●Manage and maintain IT department budget and annual forecasts

●Microsoft Exchange and Lync

REQUIREMENTS:

●Bachelor’s Degree; concentration in technology and communications referred

●10+ years of experience
