Job Details

North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) is a locally supported, volunteer based organization serving a diverse population in North Fulton with emergency needs. 

General Responsibilities:  Coordinates case management activities and assists caseworkers in performing social services work to include obtaining information, analyzing client’s needs, planning and implementing service plans, counseling clients, maintaining communication with clients and service providers for social, financial, educational and/or housing related service needs.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in supervising, training and evaluating casework staff, orienting new employees, and resolving complex problematic issues to ensure that the needs of the clients are met.
  • Assists in casework activities to include conducting interviews with clients to gather information, assessing needs, developing appropriate service plans to meet the needs of the clients. 
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of services being provided to meet the needs of clients. 
  • Audits case files to ensure documents and case records are maintained in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Provides accurate and timely reports to ensure that effective dispositions are made.
  • Assists in recruiting staff, completing performance evaluations and other personnel related actions.
  • Collaborates with other service providers to ensure coordinated assistance for clients.
  • Recommends, develops and implements new programs for clients. 
  • Works with Controller to monitor budget and forecast.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, volunteers, departments and the general public. 
  • Prior involvement in the nonprofit sector and experience working in low-income communities and with culturally and/or linguistically diverse populations are highly desirable.
  • Appropriate degree and state certification in Social Work desirable.  Related field work acceptable. 
  • Good computer skills with expertise in Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to motivate employees and maintain confidentiality.
  • Second Language a plus.
