JVS is looking for a High School Bridge Programs Manager!

What will you do? You will play a key role in providing leadership to HSB department’s school-based programs; you will work in partnership with employers and training institutions to develop new programs, sector strategies, and innovations.

What do we need from our applicants?  A passion for the JVS mission, and:

  • Ability to balance operational details with conceptual planning
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment; Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; Ability to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, relational databases, internet research)
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills; strong outreach skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to make sound and timely decisions; know when to consult
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including the ability to de-escalate challenging situations; solid presentation skills- able to adjust communication style to best serve audience
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diverse staff and clientele
  • Experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience engaging employers and creating work-based learning opportunities for youth
  • Developing strong partnerships with academic instructions, CBOs and other stakeholders
  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance management, staff retention
  • Experience operationalizing youth development principles

It would be great if you also have

  • Understanding of SFUSD College/Career, Career/Technical Education
  • Understanding of, and ability to implement, positive youth development principles
  • Industry Familiarity: Skilled Trades, Automotive, Culinary, Entrepreneurship,  or Public Service
  • Expertise in workforce development with a career pathway lens
  • Familiarity with Bay Area skilled trades jobs and employment pathways
  • Expertise in contract management
  • Experience using Salesforce.com

Position Status:  This is a regular, full-time (35 hours/week), exempt position, eligible for benefits which include: medical, dental, vision, retirement, 4 weeks’ vacation, sick leave, most Federal and Jewish holidays

Compensation:  Starts at 75K, DOE
